Retinal Blastoma

6:45 am. Dr Patel kisees the hand of a seven year old boy with advanced Retinal blastoma before surgery.

Retinal blastoma is a cancer in which the tumour developes in the eye. It can grow rapidly, therefore must be treated quickly. It is a genetic disease that usually occurs in young children. People with this disease have a higher chance of developing other cancers.
